The AWARD winning Santé Churrasco Restaurant is located in the heart of Thredbo Village, and offers a truly memorable alpine dining experience.
The food, wine and welcoming service will quickly seduce you into forgetting about those aching muscles. The restaurant has an extensive wine list to enjoy that includes a Sommeliers list and bin ends.
Santé Churrasco is an authentic Brazilian style BBQ house in the rodizio style, where you pay a fixed price and waiters continue to offer a variety of food to you throughout the meal or until you signify that you have had enough. Most foods are served right off the cooking skewer, and are sliced or plated right at the table.
The Gauchos (waiters)
In the southern most region of Brazil, the Gauchos, or South American cowboys traditionally would prepare a feast for their families by first slow roasting the various meats over an open pit and then bringing the meats around to each family member to be carved table side in a show of skill and festival giving. It is their way of cooking, churrasco (shoo-rhas'co), that has inspired traditions carried on worldwide today.
Dining Experience
Your dining experience begins as we bring you 3 sides, these will vary with what our chefs have prepared that day. If you want a top up of any of these please let your gaucho know so that they may bring you more. Some of the sides may include pototo salad, salsa, rice, house baked Brazilian cheese bread, marinated olives, grilled roast vegetables, polenta chips and much more. Turn your wooden table indicator to green side up and waiters will continue to serve you a sumptuous array of seasoned beef, lamb, pork, chicken, pineapple and Brazilian sausage.
When you would like a break from the flow of food turn your wooden table indicator on its side when you have sated your appetite turn your wooden table indicator to red side up and your waiters will clear your plate for you.
While you feast on the Brazilian fare don’t forget to select a wine from our extensive menu or sip on the traditional Brazilian cocktail the caipirinha pronounced 'KIE-PUR-REEN-YAH', this fresh, exotic cocktail is made with cachaça (Brazilian rum), sugar, and crushed limes, served over ice.

During Winter SANTÉ Churrasco is open for dinner 7 days from 4.30pm.
During Summer SANTÉ Churrasco is open for dinner Tuesday-Saturday 6.00pm.
A busy day on the mountain is sure to make the kids hungry !! During winter snow season Santé Churrasco is open from 4.30pm.

Functions and Special Events
Santé Churrasco also specialises in functions and special events like the Thredbo Blues and Thredbo Jazz Festivals in May and January or the famous childrens' cancer charity Snowy Ride in November.
